Constellations de Metz returns in 2020

Monday 02 March 2020
The Constellations de Metz festival is back for its 4th edition, from 25th June to 5th September, with an artistic programme focused on digital arts.

THE EDITION 2020

This year's theme is "water in space", echoing the space explorations of the planet Mars being launched during the coming summer.

Constellations de Metz #4 has an international dimension with numerous artists from all over the world, even more daring digital art creations and 4 thematic circuits, including a new circuit highlighting stained-glass windows, for the 800th anniversary of Metz's Saint Etienne's Cathedral.

VIDEOMAPPING "MORPHOSIS 2"

Like last year, there will be regular public showings of the video mapping "Morphosis 2", designed by Vincent Masson and the Sin - France collective. An architectural and monumental show on the western portal of Metz Cathedral combining light and stained-glass.

ARTISTS AND THE PUBLIC AT THE HEART OF CONSTELLATIONS

For the first time, the festival will propose a video mapping contest. On the neoclassical façade of the Saint Clement's church, 10 French and international artists will present their work, each lasting one to two minutes.

The creations will be projected throughout the summer and it will be the public, at the end of the summer, who will choose the winner via the Constellations de Metz mobile application!
